Melissa Lahmeyer is a 2002 graduate of the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also holds a BA degree in philosophy with a minor in psychology from Indiana State University. She spent several years practicing acupuncture in her home state of Indiana before returning, with her husband, Shawn, to St Pete. Melissa has spent over 20 years studying medicine and health. She believes that healing is a dynamic process requiring active participation from both practitioner and patient, and that health is a right that everyone should have access to and be able to afford. After spending the last 6 years immersed in a western medicine clinic in Largo, she is very excited about joining St Pete Community Acupuncture. Melissa and Shawn welcomed their son, Dylan, into this world 14 months ago. They also have a daughter, Hannah, attending SPC. Melissa loves being a mom, doing yoga, and helping people feel better.
Tell me what it is you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
