Greg Jones is a 2002 graduate of the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He holds a BS in Biology with a concentration in pre-med from the State University of New York college of ESF and has worked as an emergency medical technician. Originally from Harrisburg, PA, Greg, along with his wife and two daughters, now calls St. Petersburg home. He is a veteran of the US Army, where he served as a cavalry scout with the 10th Mountain Division in Somalia. He is an avid skateboarder and spends every Sunday during football season rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Elina Vassilakou received her Masters of Science from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. She is an Eckerd College graduate and holds a second Master's degree in Fine Arts with a specialty in creative writing. Originally from Syracuse, NY, Elina has always been an artist, educator, and a healer. She believes strongly in empowering individuals with the knowledge that will give them a better future and has spent the majority of her adult life teaching Language Arts/English to at-risk populations of all ages. She brings that same passion into the clinic and strives to achieve optimal health with each patient.
Emily Egan is a graduate of East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota. Originally from Washington state, she graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in History and holds an AAS Degree in Zookeeping Technology. Before studying acupuncture and traditional medicine, Emily worked as a zookeeper and animal trainer where she has had the opportunity to work with all kinds of exotic animals, including elephants and marine mammals. Emily hopes to one day be able to use her skills and training to treat both people and animals. She spends her spare time painting, going to the beach, and playing video games.
Laura Scheurer is a 2010 graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, NY. Laura received dual degrees, Bachelor of Professional Studies Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and Associate of Occupational Science Massage Therapies. In addition, Laura holds an Associate in Applied Science (Nursing) from the University of the State of New York and has been a registered nurse since 1988. Over the course of her nursing career, Laura has completed course work as a childbirth educator and alcohol/addictions counselor. Since graduating PCOM, Laura has traveled to Guatemala twice with the Healer to Healer volunteer group to treat local indigenous populations and teach indigenous Mayan women healers auricular acupuncture and Reiki to support their healing practices to serve their community. Laura believes that our bodies have an innate wisdom to heal and the job of any healing art is to support and be guided by that principle. Laura recently made St. Pete her home and is eager to become an integral part of this beautiful diverse community.
